Creating consensus, advancing science, and improving education in Central Europe

The new CEM is taking place in Vienna, the breathtaking capital of Austria. From 29th to 30th January 2021. A collaboration between the urologic societies of Central Europe with the mission to elevate the education and scientific level to forge the urologic stars of the future.

Dear Colleagues,

Due to the current COVID-19 Virus we had to postpone our CEM20 Congress!

The new Central European Meeting (CEM21) will take place on 29th-30th January 2021 in Vienna, Austria!

For almost 2 decades, CEM garnered its reputation as the platform to feature dynamic work of urologists within and beyond the region. Without breaking tradition, the Scientific Programme of the upcoming CEM21 promises to deliver significant urological updates, tackle controversial issues and clinical dilemmas.

Boost your know-how by participating in courses on urologic oncology, fusion biopsy, and flexible endourology on day one. Then in the afternoon, fine-tune your writing and presentation skills to maximize the impact of your research when you disseminate it to colleagues.

Day two will commence with the joint meeting of the Oesterreichischen Gesellschaft für Urologie und Andrologie (ÖGU), the European Association of Urology (EAU) and the Bavarian Society of Urology, followed by a lecture on developing a successful academic career.

The CEM21 Young Urologist Competition will highlight the talent of promising urologists. The uro-oncology session, state-of-the-art lectures on core urology topics, and poster sessions, will bring you key urology essential for your daily clinical practice. Under the tutelage expert urological surgeons, you will further your learning during the course and hands-on training organised by the European School of Urology (ESU).

There is plenty for you look forward to at CEM21. It would be a pleasure to welcome you in the Austrian capital for a highly-informative and productive meeting!

Top-3 reasons to visit CEM21

Semi-live surgery and interactive, small group courses

The core of the CEM21 courses consists of semi-live surgery demonstrations, hands-on and case-based small group workshops. Attendees will learn practical tips and tricks from  international leaders in the field. Sign up for these courses that are taught according to the highest standards by global experts.

The latest in the field

In the fast-moving world of Urology the CEM21 will keep you updated on the latest developments, breakthroughs and emerging techniques. It is the Central European platform for sharing knowledge and experience, continuous learning and capacity building in Urology. An exhibition showcases all the latest therapies, instruments and services.

Addressing controversies in Urology

Conferences are informative, but there is often only limited time for thorough and critical discussions. CEM21 provides a platform for Central European experts to discuss and compare experiences, thus closing the gap between the expansion of knowledge and its dissemination and use. The core of CEM21 is to focus on highly debatted unresolved issues. We aim to provide the most recent data empowering the clinician with reliable, up-to-date scientific information to improve everyday patient care.
